Card Payment Direct Donates to the ASPCA

Card Payment Direct, an Arizona-based merchant services company, made their latest corporate donation to the ASPCA, the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

As a result of the economic downturn and record foreclosures, many families are left unable to care for their pets, leaving them abandoned, mistreated and abused. While shelters throughout the country have assisted with the hope of finding a new and safe home to thousands of animals, many are left badly hurt and in need of serious medical attention. Each year, the ASPCA provides life-saving care and assistance to over 144,000 animals.

“We are dedicated to help fulfill the ASPCA mission in making the world a better place for animals. We are so happy to be able to make this contribution to an organization that we feel very strongly about and hold so dear to our hearts,” said Candice Miller Director of Corporate Development.

When people become overwhelmed by the effects of a major recession, when they are losing their jobs and homes, pets are not always on the forefront of their minds and are often the center of cruelty and neglect. In the past year, the ASPCA has directly aided in the adoption of over 63,000 homeless pets across the country. It is so important to support causes like the ASPCA, and help continue the efforts to help eliminate needless euthanasia of America’s adoptable pets.
